HDC Land Availability Assessments

HDC are seeking community input and participation in the Local Plan.

The goal of the Local Plan is to ensure that Huntingdonshire develops sustainably, meeting the needs of the current community without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

Land Availability assessments have now taken place since the recent Call For Sites were submitted.

You can read their findings here: https://consult.huntingdonshire.gov.uk/kse/folder/1079

Click on “Land Availability Assessments”, then specifically for Bythorn & Keyston

You need to go to section “4 – Western Huntingdonshire”

It is NOT mobile friendly! It is best to use a laptop or desktop PC.

HDC are asking for comments on the document from all members of the public.

The deadline for this is the 27th of November 2024.

The ability to submit comments on the document via this website is extremely difficult!

If you want an easier way, please email your comments to local.plan@huntingdonshire.gov.uk

You will need to specifically state which site you are commenting on.

For example:

“Area 4 – Western Huntingdonshire Site Assessments >> Bythorn and Keyston >> Bythorn and Keyston 1: Land West of Warren Lane, Bythorn”

If you wish to attempt to do it online, then you will need to register on the website linked above using your email address.

We have created a guide on how to use the website. Please click here.

Bythorn and Keyston Parish Council have submitted our own comments, but individual comments are encouraged and just as valid.

HDC have indicated they have more applications than are needed to meet their quota. Valid planning reasons and valid reasoning in line with the Local plan will be part of the decision making process as to whether a site proceeds to the next stage or not.

Many Thanks,

Bythorn and Keyston Parish Council
